Happy and safe learning paragliding with Papillon Paragliding
Following the tradition of the aviation pioneers who made their first gliding flights on the Wasserkuppe at the beginning of the 20th century, today hang-gliders and paragliders take off on foot from the slopes of the Wasserkuppe.
Ideal conditions
The steady winds at an altitude of 950m, the open meadow areas, some of which are square kilometres in size, and a wind speed of approx. 22 km/h on an annual average offer the best conditions for silent nature flying.
Since the mid-1970s the Papillon flight school first taught hang gliding, and at the end of the 1980s paragliding was added.
Wasserkuppe Flight Centre
Since 2005 the Papillon flight schools, the flight shop and the service area are located in the flight center directly next to our house. Course packages including accommodation and half board can be booked through the flight school.
