The Berghotel Deutscher Flieger was built in 1924 – just one year after the construction of the aviation memorial on the Wasserkuppe.
The hotel, which has been renovated several times, offers simple but modernly furnished single and double rooms with a lot of aviation flair and a total of 40 beds.
The hotel rooms are named after current paraglider models such as Fancy, Raqoon or Bodyguard , and after well-known aircraft models from the pioneering era, for example Skull Splitter, Protégé, Blue Mouse…
Also in the Deutscher Flieger you will find the art and jewelry shop “Wasserschnuppe”, which is well known far beyond the Rhön region, the Rhön regional shop and the Wasserkuppe ski rental.
