The Wasserkuppe: 950 meters above the everyday
Exactly 950.2 metres above sea level is the height of the Wasserkuppe. The Wasserkuppe is thus the highest mountain in the Rhön and also the highest elevation in Hessen.
On the summit, a basalt column typical for the Rhön marks this “high point”, only a few steps south of the Radom.
You can reach the highest point of Hesse in a few minutes on foot, if you follow the signs to the “Infopunkt Gipfel”.
