Hang glider training on the Wasserkuppe
Even though paragliding is much more popular than hang-gliding today, training for the hang glider license is still offered at the Wasserkuppe.
The six-day combination course concludes with the high-altitude flight maturity. It includes the complete theory for the A-licence and 20 flights with up to 100m altitude difference.
The combination courses begin in the advertised course weeks on Sunday at 10 a.m. in the flight centre on the Wasserkuppe. The theory exam can be taken every Friday.
The theory lessons take place parallel to the practical training. Missed course days can be made up for free.
Guest pilots who come to the Wasserkuppe for hang gliding can inform themselves about the flight operation regulations on the website of the Rhöner Drachen- und Gleitschirmflieger Poppenhausen e.V.
